We are looking for a dedicated and people-focused Team Manager to join our growing team. Requirements
Lead, mentor, and manage the team across various departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment driven by excellence.
Oversee staff scheduling, ensuring optimal coverage for both production and retail operations while minimizing overtime and inefficiencies.
Develop and organise new staff members' onboarding and integrating them with the rest of the team as well as with Scoop n Dough's vision and customer-centric approach.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
Facilitate onboarding and ongoing training programs for new and existing staff, ensuring alignment with company standards and values.
Act as the first point of contact for resolving team conflicts, operational challenges, or staff concerns.
Ensure clear communication between the leadership team and staff, translating company goals into actionable tasks and measurable outcomes.
Monitor team performance metrics, such as productivity, customer satisfaction, and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure staff follow workflows and maintain high standards in production and service.
Champion a customer-centric mindset, coaching the team to deliver exceptional experiences and resolve issues promptly.
Support recruitment efforts by identifying staffing needs and assisting with interviews and onboarding processes.
Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in line with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
A minimum of 3 years of experience in team management or a leadership role within the food and beverage, retail, or hospitality sectors.
Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey expectations, feedback, and company goals.
Strong organizational skills, including staff scheduling, workload distribution, and time management.
Experience with conflict resolution and problem-solving, with a focus on fairness and maintaining team morale.
Knowledge of customer service best practices, with a commitment to upholding exceptional standards.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Portuguese is highly preferred for effective communication with local staff.
A hands-on leadership style, with the ability to step in and support operations when needed.
